Hello, this is Brent Batcheller, head wrestling coach at Rockwood Summit High School. One of our goals for the wrestling program is to create a community atmosphere and build a support network for our student athletes. Please read below about our summer wrestling camp and our Friends of Summit Wrestling Trivia Night which is ran by our Falcon Wrestling Booster Club, which runs November through February.

One major aspect of building a successful program is creating depth from within. From July 5th to the 8th we are hosting the Future Falcon Camp of Champions at Summit. It is an introductory camp, which usually features about 50 wrestlers with ages ranging from 1st grade through junior high. We instill basic technique and create a fun atmosphere for the kids. Our hope is that these kids will join our little league in the fall. We are looking for camp sponsors for T-Shirts, water bottles, lanyards, etc… to give out to the boys and make it a positive experience for them. If you are willing to donate any of these items or would like to place your company logo on our camp T-shirt please contact me or Sherri Lance our booster club president.

The main reason of this letter is to continue our annual, "Friends of Summit Wrestling Trivia Night" that will be held this year, Friday August 6th, 2010. Andre's West Banquet Facility in Old Towne Fenton will host it again. The evening will feature over 300 people and there will be many opportunities to promote your business. We thought this would be not only a great time for those attending but a great chance to showcase your business again. We are looking for a variety of things from round sponsorships, attendance prizes; raffle/auctioned items, and volunteers for judging and collecting score sheets. Please refer to the flyer enclosed for more information.

Our Falcon Wrestling Booster Club has taken off this year due to a large response on donors; we hope to continue its success with the growth of our program. We host a big 12 team tournament in January, several dual meets at Summit, and various little league functions which attract fans from not only around the St. Louis area but from around the state. There is plenty of ways that you can promote your business in our dual and tournament programs, tournament T-Shirts, and on our Team Poster. It can be as simple as a ¼ page ad in our professional dual meet and tournament program. We have different levels of sponsorship and as you can see you will also get something in return. We will feature all Falcon Wrestling Booster Club sponsors and their level of sponsorship in our dual and tournament program. These funds help us with necessary equipment for training and travel so we can compete with the best competition from around the state.

In my 8 years of running Summit Wrestling I have never been more excited about our program. For the first time in school history we qualified 10 to the state wrestling championships and had three take home medals: Drew Lance (4th) Jon Brinkmeyer (6th) and Abram Reynolds (6th) Next season is going to be even more exciting as we return 9 state qualifiers and 3 state medalists to a team filled with depth on all three levels. Our goal is to bring a State Tournament Trophy to Rockwood Summit, a feat that has never been accomplished in wrestling.
